If you’re experiencing any of the following faults, we’re here to help with accurate diagnostics and lasting repairs.

1. Timing Chain Wear

Timing chain and tensioner issues are common across various models, often resulting in poor engine performance, rattling noises, or even serious internal damage if left untreated.
Commonly affected models:
C-Class (W204), E-Class (W212), M-Class (W164), R-Class (W251), S-Class (W221), SLK-Class (R172), CLS-Class (W218), GL-Class (X164), GLE-Class (W166), GLC-Class (X253), GLA-Class (X156)

2. Balance Shaft Gear Failure

Worn or defective balance shaft gears can lead to engine vibration, rough idling and reduced efficiency.
Commonly affected models:
C-Class (W203, W204), E-Class (W211, W212), GLK-Class (X204), M-Class (W164), CLK-Class (W209), R-Class (W251), S-Class (W220, W221), CLS-Class (W219, W218), GL-Class (X164), GLE-Class (W166), GLC-Class (X253)

3. Engine Mount Deterioration

Failing engine mounts can cause excessive vibration and reduced ride quality.
Frequently seen in:
C-Class, E-Class, M-Class, GL-Class, SLK-Class, CLK-Class, CLS-Class, GLE-Class, GLK-Class, GLC-Class, R-Class

4. Electronic Steering Lock (ESL) Failure

Common in W204 and W212 models, this issue can prevent the vehicle from starting or turning the key, often requiring ESL module replacement.

5. Transmission Issues: Valve Body, Conductor Plate & Torque Converter

Symptoms include harsh shifting, delayed engagement, and electrical faults.
Models often affected:
C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, CLS-Class, ML-Class, GLE-Class, GLC-Class, GL-Class, R-Class, SL-Class, CLK-Class, CLA-Class, GLK-Class

6. Suspension System Failures

Mercedes vehicles with AIRMATIC or similar systems may experience:

  • Air spring leaks

  • Compressor failures

  • Strut wear

  • Valve block malfunctions

  • Control module faults

These issues can lead to uneven ride height, poor handling, and warning lights.
Common in:
S-Class (W220–W222), E-Class, CLS-Class, GL-Class, GLE-Class, ML-Class, R-Class

7. SBC (Sensotronic Brake Control) Malfunction

Often indicated by dashboard warnings or brake performance issues.
Seen in:
SL-Class (R230), E-Class (W211), CLS-Class (W219), SLK-Class (R171)

8. AdBlue & Emission System Faults

Malfunctioning AdBlue pumps, heaters or NOx sensors can trigger emissions warnings and limp mode.
Models at risk:
C-Class, E-Class, GLC-Class, GLE-Class, Vito, Sprinter, and other diesel variants

9. Electronic Thermostat Failure

Can lead to engine overheating or poor temperature regulation.
Common in:
C-Class (W205), E-Class (W213), GLC-Class (X253), GLE-Class (W166)

10. Front Control Arm Bushing Wear

Wear in these suspension components can lead to poor handling, increased vibration and uneven tyre wear.
Common across:
Most Mercedes-Benz models, particularly those with higher mileage.
